Description

Blow molders wishing to enter this lucrative and rapidly growing market have been limited to three choices - 1 Step, which is slow, costly and offers little flexibility; injection molding from wide mouth preforms - which is costly and suffers from low cavitation; or the blow trim process using low quality in-line spin trimmers. 

Belvac Production Machinery has overcome these limited choices with the introduction of our rotary trimming and finishing series of machines.  Containers are fed directly from the blow molding machine upright, into the DT Series dome trimmer, for a clean and repeatable, chip free, and burr free dome decapitation via a customer supplied transfer conveyor.  The mechanically driven "D" knife assembly provides a burr free decapitation of the excess dome.  We also offer our patented burnishing system ( as shown below) designed to smooth out the top sealing surface (TSS) and the inner neck finish.   Applications requiring additional processing of the finished container can be outfitted with modules to provide Leak Detection and Camera based vision systems, as detailed in the modular line drawings below.
